The A320 Grade L7 Stud material is to be evaluated in the following parameters: impact testing, tension testing, and hardness testing, in accordance with the technical specifications of the A320 Grade L7 Bolts. The minimum Charpy impact value for ASTM A320 Bolts at -150° F is 20 ft-lbf. This material is designed for low-temperature use. High temperature or high pressure & corrosion resistant steels must be durable and used in ASTM A320 Hex Bolts. A320 Stud Bolts come in a variety of sizes and designs. Due to their unique features & specifications, our superior grade ASTM A320 Grade L7 AS Bolts are in high demand in the market.
Both alloy steel and stainless steel bolting materials for use in low temperature applications are covered by the ASTM A320 Grade L7m Material specification. The uses for the ASTM A320 L7 Stud Bolts include environments with temperatures as low as -150oF. At this temperature, the ASTM A320 Grade L7m Bolts and ASTM A320 Bolts both have a minimum Charpy impact value of 15 ft-lb.
The fittings covered by Standard ASTM A320 Grade L7 Stud Bolts include bars, bolts, screws, studs, and stud bolts made of alloy that has been rolled, forged, or strain-hardened. These ASTM A320 Gr L7 Stud Bolt have been applied to pressure vessels, valves, flanges, and fittings, among other things. The 8UN thread series is specified on the A320 Gr L7 Material fastener, which is known to measure larger than 1" in diameter, similarly to the ASTM A193 standard. Standard ASTM A320 Grade L7 Nuts require alloy steel to go through AISI 4140/4142 Quenching and Tempering.
