In addition to these uses, the UNS N02201 Nickel Bar can be used to manufacture and handle sodium hydroxide, especially at temperatures above 300° F.

The UNS N02201 Nickel Bar is suitable for use in chemical processing and storage, the manufacture of synthetic fibres, and procedures involving the use of sodium hydroxide and fluorine. Food production and the aerospace and defence industries are further applications.
