The ASTM B425 Gr 825's chromium provides resistance to oxidising elements such nitric acid solutions, nitrates, and oxidising salts. Titanium is added to the alloy to stabilise it. It is known that stabilising the Incoloy 825 Bar can fend against intergranular and pitting assault following fabrication. Additionally, while welding, the Alloy 825 Round Bar is heated until it hits the crucial sensitization temperature range between 650°C and 760°C.

The UNS N08825 ASTM B425 provides superior corrosion resistance to acids like sulphuric and phosphoric acids.
