Commercially pure nickel, which constitutes around 99.6% of the total alloy in both Nickel 200 and Nickel 201, is their major base metal. Chemically, the fundamental distinction between nickel 200 and 201 is that 201 is the low-carbon variety, with a maximum carbon concentration of 0.02 of the entire alloy. Compared to Nickel 200, where the carbon concentration of the alloy is only 0.15 percent maximum.

The UNS N02200 Blind Flange provides exceptional resistance to numerous situations involving corrosive media in addition to outstanding mechanical qualities. The annealed DIN 2.4066 Pipe Flange is ductile, weldable, and has a low hardness. As a result, annealing nickel makes the metal simple to work with. ANSI B16.5 Nickel 201 Flange Standards can be cold worked to moderately high strength levels while retaining their ductility despite having a low work-hardening rate.
Numerous industries use Brushed Nickel Flange 200, including those that handle food, synthetic fibres, and caustic alkalis. Additionally, the JIS NW 2200 Weight Chart is frequently used in structural applications where corrosion resistance is crucial. These alloys are recommended for use in aerospace and missile parts, chemical shipping components, electrical and electronic parts, and flanges made of nickel alloy 200.
While Nickel 201 is employed in products like electrical parts, caustic evaporators, plater bars, and combustion boats. One thing that sets nickel 201 apart from nickel 200 is that the alloy is more suited than the latter for applications that need exposure to situations where temperatures can exceed 600oF. Both grades, Nickel 201 and Nickel 200 Flange Dimensions, can be forged at temperatures between 2200 and 1600 degrees Fahrenheit. Although light forging can be done at temperatures lower than 1200oF, this is typically done to enhance the alloy's mechanical characteristics.
After cold working, the ASME SB-162 Uns N02201 Flanges are annealed. The temperatures between which this procedure is performed may range from between 1100°F to 1700°F. The metal's mechanical working history affects this process. To preserve the 1-1/2 Polished Nickel Flange's look, certain atmospheres must be employed.
It should be noted that prolonged exposure of Nickel 200 to temperatures between 800 oF and 1200 oF may cause precipitation of graphite. Nickel 201 must be applied in these kinds of applications to stop graphite precipitation. In general, annealed alloy has a tendency to generate lengthy, stringy chips, whereas material that has undergone a certain amount of cold work has a tendency to be much easier to machine. These Nickel Alloy Flanges must be machined on high-speed steel or with the aid of cast-alloy tools, as the supplier constantly advises.
While it is possible to weld both alloys, Nickel 200 and Nickel 201, using standard shop methods, Oxy Acetylene welding should not be used on Nickel 201 due to the risk of carbon pickup in the alloy.
